It’s a rainy morning in northeast Iowa – a perfect day to get out of the field and take in a sale! The Field of Dreams V sale starts at 10:30am and the Holstein World stopped in the barns last night for a look at the offerings.

The headliner lot of the sale – Savage-Leigh Lavim-ET (VG-88) – seen here shortly after being milked. Certainly one of the highest CTPI cows to sell this year at +2153 CTPI, she is the #2 CTPI daughter of Toystory and is out of Savage-Leigh Licorice-ET (EX-92), the show-winning Durham daughter of the world-famous Savage-Leigh Bellwood Linda (2E-92 GMD DOM).

A big, framey cow that catches your eye as soon as you walk in the barn is Lot H30 – Ms Koebel Dundee Jen-ET (VG-87), the Reserve All-MI Sr 2-Year-Old in 2008. She has an impressive pedigree being out of Walnut-Vu Skychief Jen-ET (2E-94), then nine more VG & EX dams going back into generations of Modik breeding.

One of the late entries in the sale – Lot #117 – Wilson-Dale Aspn Caraboo-ET. She is a lovely-uddered Aspen daughter out of Springhope Outside Cameo (EX-93), then three more VG & EX dams in Canada.
