The Reflections of Rosedale Sale takes place today in Oxford, WI beginning at 12 Noon central time and the Holstein World had a preview of the lineup last night!

The Rosedale farmstead is attractive, beautifully landscaped and always immaculate. A steady crowd passed through the barns last night for the cattle viewing and social.

The end stall heifer as you walk in the shed is Lot 21 – Rosedale Ladys Secret-ET – a 7/08 *RC Stormatic out of Rosedale Lea-Ann-ET (2E-93 GMD). Lea-Ann is a Kinglea Leader out of 3E-96 Blackrose (thus a full sister to the dam of Talent) and is still at the farm at the ripe old age of fourteen!

More of the heifer lineup: Lot 17 – Rosedale Street Sense – a 7/08 Stormatic daughter out of VG-89 Rosedale Lexi, the Cousteau daughter of Lea-Ann; Lot 16 – Rosedale Go For Gin-ET – the 7/08 Goldwyn daughter of Rosedale Lexi and Lot 19 – Rosedale Against The Law-ET – Lexi’s 6/08 *RC Advent daughter.

Lot 3 – Rosedale Dream Big-ET – the 3/09 *RC Shottle daughter of Rosedale Black Ruby (EX-94*RC). Just raised to EX-94 on Thursday, Black Ruby is the Shoremar BKB Allegro daughter of Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red (3E-96), the World Dairy Expo Supreme Champion in 2005.

L to R: Lot 56 – Harvstar Lola Rosedale-TW – a 9/07 Dundee out of an EX Terrason dam, then four more VG & EX Canadian cows. She is due in September with an Aspen heifer. Lot 35 – Rosedale Robin-ET – a 4/07 Advent due in October to MD-Valleyvue Chris Gold from eight generations of VG & EX from the Blackrose family. Lot 68 – Miss Katrina of Rosedale – a 9/07 Aspen due in August with a Rosedale Advantage-Red heifer. She is backed by five VG & EX dams.

You remember her! Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red – EX-96 EEEEE 3E – Supreme Champion at World Dairy Expo in 2005 and Grand Champion of the Grand Internation R&W Show again in 2007. Obviously now in flush cow mode, she still looks fantastic! Her 3/1/09 Goldwyn sells as well as a first choice of three 6/09 Sanchez heifers.

The Rosedale milking herd was also on display for visitors. Here is Rosedale Premonition (EX-91), the Gibson daughter of 2E-96 Paradise who was Supreme Champion of World Dairy Expo in 2000 & 2002.

Hospitality tables were set up around the barns including this one in the farm office. Oh, yes, you might notice a few of the showring momentos claimed by Rosedale over the years!

A special display case in the office highlights the Expo awards won by the three International Holstein Show Grand Champions that have called Rosedale home: Vandyk-K Integrity Paradise (2E-96), Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red (3E-96) and Kinyon Linjet Ideal (2E-96).
