A.D.I. Global 3rd Edition & Cormdale Dispersal – Preview!
The A.D.I. Global 3rd Edition Sale and the Cormdale Complete Dispersal Sale are being held in conjunction today at the Brubacher Sales Arena in Guelph, ON. A big-time kickoff to Royal Winter Fair week, both sales have prominent cows as headliners!
A sale preview was held on Monday evening and the Holstein World was there for a look at the lineup!
A late consignment to the A.D.I. sale, but one that had the industry buzzing, Misty Springs Shottle Silk (VG-88-2YR-CAN) is the #2 LPI cow in Canada at #3717. Silk stems from the prolific Glen Drummond Splendor family and was Nominated All-American Senior 2-Year-Old in 2008.
No stranger to Canadian show rings or sale rings, Lylehaven Lila Z leads off as Lot #1 in the Cormdale Dispersal. Just rescored at EX-94-CAN, Lila Z has twice been All-Canadian and now is making her mark as a broodcow. Already carrying 5 stars, she has sons in AI and has 12 VG daughters. She sells along with several daughters and granddaughters.
One of the Lila Z daughters selling is Calbrett Goldwyn Layla, now scored VG-88-CAN. Fresh in July and milking 100#, Layla sells along with her 2/09 Howie heifer, who is the #2 Type and #6 GPA LPI Howie daughter.
Lot #81 – Tamlane Jasper Guiness (VG-88-CAN) really catches your eye at the end of the line when you walk into the barn. She was the 1st 4-Year-Old at the Durham Co. Show this year and also placed 3rd in the 4-Year-Old class at the Autumn Opportunity Show. She sells along with her 8/09 Goldwyn heifer and her 10/08 Arethusa Miami heifer.
A fancy red heifer in the line – Lot #67 – Fradon SS Jordana. A 9/08 Pursuit September Storm heifer out of Fradon R Mark Jodie-Red, Jordana is a potential 9th generation VG or EX from the popular Jodie family.
Lot 37 – Pierstein Pronto Ilso – a 12/08 Pronto daughter of Lexis Leduc Island (EX-2E-CAN). Island is out of an EX Skychief daughter of the remarkable show campaigner, Dreane Astre Inksou (EX-96-4E-CAN).
