ADI 3rd Edition Sale Highlights
The A.D.I 3rd Edition Sale and the Cormdale & Partners Complete Dispersal were held yesterday in Guelph, ON and both sales combined averaged $17,977 on a 167 lots in front of a large crowd.

Albert and Cathy Cormier welcomed the crowd to the sale.

The #2 LPI cow in Canada, Misty-Springs Shottle Silk (VG-88-2YR-CAN), consigned by Ardross Holsteins and David Dyment, was first through the ring. An impressive young cow with numbers to burn and a successful show ring record, Silk eventually brought $300,000 from Ernest Kueffner and David Dyment.

A favorite of many Holstein enthusiasts across the globe, the Durham daughter Lylehaven Lila Z (EX-94-CAN) was Lot #1 in the catalog and sold for $113,000 to T&L Cattle, Cederwal,and Bradner Farms. A many-time All-Canadian nominee, Lila Z sold along with several daughters, granddaughters and various embryos and choices.

Lila Z’s two-year-old Goldwyn daughter, Calbrett Goldwyn Layla (VG-88), followed her mother through the ring and showed the value of elite brood cows as she was purchased by the Layla Syndicate for $230,000.

Another Lila Z daughter, Calbrett Shottle Lela (VG-87), brought $110,000.

The maternal sister to Braedale Goldwyn, Gen-I-Beq Champion Bally (VG-89) sold for $185,000 to T&L Cattle Ltd. Bally was Reserve All-Canadian Jr 3-year-old in 2007 and was fresh again in June.
