International Intrigue is in the books!

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

A sizeable crowd gathered at the Ancaster Fairgrounds in Ancaster, ON on Saturday, July 31, 2010 for the 2nd edition of the International Intrigue Sale. The new facilities were a wonderful setting for the special lineup of cattle that was highly appreciated by the sale goers.

At the end of the day, 116 lots averaged $16,757.76 for a sale gross of $1,943,900.

The sale was managed by Butler-Fellers and ran smoothly throughout. Sale host Len Vis and family were located nearby on their Mapel Wood Farm and did a fantastic job providing hospitality on the Friday evening before the sale as well as breakfast the day of the sale. The fitting crew of Pat Conroy and Joel Phoenix had the cattle looking their best.

More scenes from National Red & White Convention

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Holstein World field reporter Nate Oleniacz sends even more pictures and information from the National Red & White Convention that was held July 21-24 in Harrisonburg, VA.

As with many conventions, there was a day to get out of the hotel and tour some of the farms and attractions that make the host state unique. This year, visitors took a trip to The Shenandoah National Park, Gloryland Holsteins, and Jennings Gap Dairy for a Red and White Cattle Classification Demonstration.
