2010 Maryland State Fair Holstein Show

TIMONIUM, MD – Savage-Leigh Lydon Laurel, a senior 3-year old owned by Frank and Diane Borba of Calif. was named supreme champion of the Maryland State Fair held here on Friday, September 3rd. A junior 2-year old, Beaver-Flats Possible-ET exhibited by Michael Heath and Associates of Westminster was named reserve grand champion female. Regancrest Lrme Quicksilver, a spring yearling heifer exhibited by Fred Strouse, Tim Merwarth & Chris and Jennifer Hill, MD-Hillbrook of Thurmont was honored with the junior champion and title. Gene Iager of Fulton exhibited the reserve junior champion winner, Cowtown Last Call Adventure, a winter Calf. The Premier Exhibitor and Breeder banners were presented to Savage Leigh Holsteins of Knoxville.

2010 Maryland Holstein Futurity
Savage-Leigh Sweet Jae, a Dundee daughter out of Savage-Leigh Sweet-D-ET owned by Kelli Welsh of Savage Leigh Holsteins, Knoxville was named the winner of the Maryland Holstein Futurity held here on Thursday, September 2nd. Kelli also exhibited the top production cow with 34,885 ECM, Savage-Leigh Dundee Dib-ET. The winning Junior entry was exhibited by Joshua Freeman of Monkton with Ladys-Manor G Brooklyn. Gus and Lisa Schwartzbeck of Union Bridge were the jackpot winners by exhibiting Ms BMS DNDE Alamo-ET.
