Four Winds Complete Dispersal Averages $5,068

While it has been suggested this sale is an ending to a lifelong career and a passion of working with a great herd of cows, it is also a once in-a-lifetime opportunity to select a Four Winds Guernsey to build or start a foundation of your own. As each animal passes through the ring, another prospect for success is starting at another Guernsey farm. A chance to create memories, success and future cow families will be loaded up with each Four Winds purchase. Those animals will be unloaded throughout the country, at homes of other Guernsey enthusiasts anxious to see if they can generate a bit of the same success as the Vilters.

A bitter sweet day for Clark and Joy Vitler as they offer their lifelong genetic base to others. Watching Clark do the last night milk of his complete herd was difficult for those in the barn but the offer of the elite herd of cattle gives Guernsey breeders the chance to build their dream and create a Guernsey family reunion.

After the final animal was sold and the auction concluded, the final sale average was recorded as $5,068 on 59 females.

The close of the auction does not end the Vilter legacy but rather spreads it around the country. Today, many walked away with an elite Guernsey in hopes to replicate the success the Vilters have had through out the years.

    To: Joy, Clark and Family.

Congratulations on a very successful dispersal sale!! I very much enjoyed the printed coverage of the sale plus excellent photos of animals sold, family, ringside and decorations. It will go down in the history books of the Guernsey archaives as a a most memorable event. Good luck to both of you in your chapter of life called retirement where you can ease up a bit and enjoy other offerings that comes your way. Kindest regards.

To the Family. We will long remember what you have done for the Dairy Industry. Congratulations. We in South Dakota will not forget what Tina did for South Dakota State University as a member of the Lady Jacks Basketball team “a few years back”. Best of Luck to you all in the future.
