New York Convention ET Sale -the average grows each year! Now with photos.

The New York Convention Sale reached a new high of $9,600 on 29 lots.

Top of the evening at $32,000, was consigned by Dr. Pat Comyn of Madison, VA and purchased by Elite Dairy Genomics, LLC of Springfield, IL. Comyn-PBCD OS Sherae-ET *TY. 50K GTPI + 2444 +1733M +90F +52P +830 NM$. She is the number two GTPI Osmond daughter. She is out of UFM-Dubs Sherae-ET +2129 GTPI. Her next six dams are VG or EX.

Second high of the evening was a choice of 3 Shamrock daughters. Aurora-Rama Shamrock Hop-ET 50K GTPI +2333 +1835M +73F +61P +731NM$, Aurora-Rama Shamrock Hee-ET 50K GTPI +2211 +1099M +19F +26P 699NM$ and Aurora-Rama Shamrock Hot-ET 50K GTPI +2409 +1748M +80F +59P +819NM$ These Shamrocks boast 9 VG or EX dams. Consigned by Aurora-Ridge LLC and Riverview Farm and purchased by Ed Coble of Roswell, NM for $26,000.

Third high of the night was Lot #1, purchased by Dr. Scott Tripp, Paris, TX at $25,000. The lot was a choice of two Shamrock females consigned by Kevin Peck from the EX-93 DOM Clear-Echo 822 Ramo 1200-ET. Shamrock 2488 (99%) had a GTPI of +2324 while Shamrock 2482 (99%) had a GTPI of +2322. The dam completed a record of 4-04 365 39,570 4.5 1782 3.2 1252 and already has 15 sons in AI.

Dr.Tripp also purchased Lot #3 for $21,500 from Mike & Jill Ammon, Lewistown, PA. Again, the lot was a choice of two heifers from Ammon-Peachey M Moonbeam-ET, a Million daughter with GTPI +2169. Ammon Farms RBT Moonlite-ET (by Robust) had a GTPI +2366 and Ammon Farms OS Moonglow-ET (by O-Style) had a GTPI +2251. The choice goes back to the world-famed Pine-Tree Martha Sheen-ET family.

Lot #2 sold for $19,000 to Taurus Service from Vision Genetics, Hershey, PA. With no Goldwyn in the pedigree, this exciting choice sired by Numero Uno was out of Potters-Field Boja 9854-ET (VG-86) with GTPI +2204, the #8 NM$ cow of the breed.

The sale was managed by The Cattle Exchange.
