If you’re a baseball fan, you know this is a very special spot! On the north side of Chicago, Wrigley Field has been a landmark for over a hundred years and it still draws a big crowd on a sunny summer afternoon!

Outside of Wrigley, the statue of Ron Santo, the legendary Hall of Fame and nine-time All Star third baseman for the Cubs holds down the corner of Addison and Sheffield. Santo was also the color commentator radio announcer for the Cubs for years and years.

‘Sweet Swinging’ Billy Williams, left fielder for the Cubs with a lifetime batting average of .290 who is also a member of Baseball’s Hall of Fame. Though they never made it to a World Series, the Cubs team that featured Billy Williams, Ron Santo, Ferguson Jenkins and Ernie Banks is still a favorite among baseball fans.

The sale is taking place at the Ivy League Baseball Club…and this is the view from the 4th floor!

Another legendary sight is the manual scoreboard at Wrigley along with the flagpoles lined with the various team pennants arranged according to their standing in their respective divisions.

Consignor Neil McDonah, Holstein USA Regional Representative Sarah Trapp and sale staff member Paul Trapp enjoy a little refreshment before the sale!

Made it to the major leagues! Chris Hill, Lloyd Simon and Brian Carscadden appreciate the view from the Ivy Club.

The crowd gets ready to start the sale in the lovely atmosphere of the Ivy League Baseball Club.

Jeff Butler welcomes everyone to the sale and gives a rundown on the opportunities to be had in the registered Holstein business.

Lloyd Simon, pedigrees; Chris Hill, auctioneer; Roger Turner, pedigrees; and Ed Fellers, sale manager, gear up to start the show!
