Joel and Sarah Petit and family dispersed their In-The-Blu herd today in Zumbrota, MN. The sale averaged $1,628 on 107 head.

Joel & Sarah give a welcome and thanks to all who have helped them along their farming careers and introduced their family including son Jared, daughter Madison with her boyfriend Kyle, and daughter Kalli. Their journey with registered Holsteins began in 1983 when they married and began farming with Joel’s parents at Huff-N-Puff Holsteins in Juliustown, NJ. The made the 1,160 mile trek to Zumbrota, MN to start a farm of their own in 1990.

Topping the sale at $5,900 was Lot 180- Curjon Aspen Bay-ET (EX-93 96-MS). She had a 3-year-old record of 365d 38,259 3.8 1457 2.9 1123 and hails from the famous Regancrest-PR Barbie cow family. Her dam is Palmcrest Morty Bounce-ET (VG-88) backed by Barbie’s full sister, Rgncrst-RH Durham Bliss-ET.

Her Sept 2012 daughter by Goldsun, In-The-Blu Goldsun Bliss sold for $3,700

The barn was full of strong cows with lots of will to milk, with no BST the bulk tank average was 88 lb/day
