Sale of Stars managers Brian Craswell and Simon Lalonde have traveled far and wide in search of the best. Whether it be type, production, cow families, genomics, red or polled- there is something for everyone!
Although the sale is not untill November 8th, the sale cattle are already enroute. They are being assembled at a few farms prior to moving into the exhibition grounds on Monday.
The group we will be following is in Lindsay, Ontario.
Most of the heifers here have arrived over the last few days from the USA, with the last comming from New York state last night.
All the animals seemed to have traveled well and settled in. The facilities and care they have here at John & Karen Buckley’s has been exceptional.
The heifers have been grouped by size and have warm straw packs to sleep on. The weather has turned into that typical of November, cool and rainy- even the occasional flurry.
