Candids from Regancrest

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

“The cows are second to the people.” - Norm Nabholz

In his opening comments to the Regancrest Command Performance V Sale, Norm hit the nail on the head. If you think the cows are impressive when you visit Regancrest and check out their sale line-up, than you’ll be doubly delighted by the sincerity and hard work of the Regan Family. (See their picture in the blog posted on 5/4.)

They are what made the sale and it was the people who helped and attended the sale that showed their appreciation. Here are some candids from the day!

Rock-Home Dispersal

Monday, April 28th, 2008

This past Friday I left the snow of Minnesota and headed south to enjoy spring and a great herd of cows and people at the Rock-Home Dispersal Sale in Hillsboro, KS. Located about 1 hour north of Wichita and 2.5 hours west of Kansas City, Rock-Home Holsteins is the home of the Winter Family.

In his greeting at the beginning of the catalog and of the sale, Dallas Burton referred to three generations of “cowmen” breeding represented in the herd - Chester Unruh, Warren Winter and Kevin Winter. I couldnt begin to highlight all the well-known families they have worked with and developed, but a few of the current key members of the herd can do the talking for me. Here are high sellers from Saturday’s sale. An extended report will be posted on our homepage in the morning!
