Thanks to Julien Chabot (Semex sire analyst) who provided accurate directions, Phil Hasheider and I stopped at the Mount Victoria site during our “aAa” bull committee trip between EastGen at Kemptville Ontario and CIAQ at St Hyacinthe Quebec in November 2011.

We spent nearly an hour soaking in the atmosphere and imagining how it must have looked when Holstein animals populated it. It surprised us the barns retained so much of their dairy configuration when you calculate they have not been used for dairy in nearly 70 years. Even in their present decrepit state, you can see the artistry and quality of that era’s barn builders.
